It’s Chris Benchetler‘s world, and we’re just living in it. That’s what it feels like, at least.
The iconic skier, artist, filmmaker, and designer of the ever-popular Atomic Bent line of skis is already well-known for his deep connection and collaboration with The Grateful Dead.
One of Benchetler’s paintings even appeared during a Dead & Company performance at the Sphere in Las Vegas last year.

Benchetler recently revealed that he collaborated with another, younger, but almost equally beloved jam band, Goose, by designing the concert poster for two upcoming shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
“Had the pleasure of creating some new work for (Goose),” wrote Benchetler in an Instagram post on June 17, 2026. “Get yourselves to Goose! at Madison Square Garden • June 19, 20.”
See below for the concert poster.

An astronaut riding a unicycle on a 360-degree piano while playing a guitar, a rat driving a yellow taxi cab, mushrooms that function as balloons, and a whale with mushroom barnacles that sound like drums—this is art that could only come from the mind of Chris Benchetler.
Benchetler is known for his trippy, psychedelic visuals, but this design for Goose is on another level. If you’re interested in buying a print, you’re in luck.
Benchetler announced that a pop-up shop will be located at The Drop House (12 E. 14th Street, New York, NY) this weekend.
Keen on more Chris Benchetler artwork? Stay tuned for a widespread release date for Mountains of the Moon, a mushroom-inspired journey through action sports and life with a soundtrack by you guessed it—The Grateful Dead.
