The Nordica Enforcer 99 isn’t built to be playful or approachable. It’s built to be the best ski for variable conditions.

We’ve lost count of how many times the Nordica Enforcer 99 (and its predecessor, the Enforcer 100), has topped the all-mountain category of our SKI Test over the years. It’s a benchmark ski for the category, just as capable carving on hardpack as it is busting through crud and holding steady at speed and in technical terrain. A stout, stiff, heavy-metal construction makes it our expert testers’ go-to ski for variable conditions and many skiers’ one-ski quiver, regardless of where they ski. It’s not the most playful, fun, or easy ride, but that’s kind of the point. “While many other brands have focused on lightening up their skis and making them more approachable, the Enforcer series sticks to its guns,” says all-mountain ski expert Matt Cote. “This is where you go for burly skis that dig in and drive.” Normally, you’d pay $850 for that dependability; right now, it’s on sale for less than $700, bindings included.
