The Armada Declivity 82 Ti was the dark horse of our 2020 SKI Test when it first debuted, catching veteran testers off guard who’d long written off Armada as too park-and-pipe to take groomers seriously. The Declivity 82 Ti proved them wrong fast. Built with Titanal and a shapely sidecut, it carved up hardpack right alongside the best narrow all-mountain skis—and kept impressing us, test after test. Versatility and agility are its calling cards, but it hasn’t lost Armada’s signature playfulness, thanks to a poppy caruba wood core. It’s easy to ski, easy to carve on, and has a sweet spot the size of a barn door. “These skis blend olive oil smoothness with a light, energetic responsiveness,” one tester commented.
Here’s the bad news: Armada is discontinuing the Declivity line for 2027, folding it into the brand’s new Antimatter lineup. Once this run sells out, that’s it—no more Declivity, ever. So if you’ve slept on this quietly excellent frontside ski, now’s the time to wake up.
