Palisades Tahoe Reintroduces Cheaper Midweek Ski Pass for First Time in a Decade

For the first time in more than a decade, midweek season passes are returning to Palisades Tahoe, California, next winter.
The passes, which cost $699, include unlimited access Monday through Friday during the 26/27 season, with some blackout dates. Alternatively, skiers can get hit the resort with pricier Ikon Pass or Ikon Base Pass, which cost $1,449 and $1,019, respectively.
Midweek pass blackout dates apply from December 28 through January 1 and on February 15. Like other passes, the midweek pass’s price increases as the season approaches.
Palisades Tahoe, in a press release, said the pass “makes spontaneous ski days easier than ever.” During the week, parking reservations aren’t required at the resort. Palisades Tahoe weekend parking reservations tend to get snapped up quickly.

Having fewer skiers to dodge never hurts.

“Weekdays have a rhythm all their own,” said Patrick Lacey, public relations manager at Palisades Tahoe, in the release. “From the parking lot to the lifts, there’s a more relaxed atmosphere with fewer visitors, shorter lift lines, and plenty of room to enjoy the mountain. We’re excited to bring back the Midweek Pass and create more opportunities for people to make skiing a regular part of their winter.”
In broader ski culture, the midweek pass has, at least in the past, been regarded as something of a hack. Weekdays are often chill, and for mountain town residents who might be working on the weekends or at night, it’s the best time to go skiing.
But not every major resort offers midweek passes, and those that do don’t always have the relatively low price point Palisades Tahoe went with. For instance, the Midweek ByPass at Jackson Hole costs $1,595 (although it also includes weekends during the late and early season).

That’s all to say, if you can truly take advantage of Palisades Tahoe’s new midweek offering, it’s a good deal.
The resort is also selling a range of ticket bundles for the 2026-27 season, including one aimed at midweek skiers. The 4-day midweek pack costs $350. A 4-day unrestricted pack costs $400.
As is the norm at other resorts, the bought-in-advance tickets and passes present a significant discount below Palisades Tahoe’s window ticket rate, which is listed at $289, although that price will vary by timing.
