If you’re an expert skier still hunting for a one-ski quiver, stop looking: the Blizzard Anomaly 94 is one of the best options out there. All-mountain skis have been trending wider for years, and 100-plus-millimeter waists have become the new normal—leaving many skiers to assume wider is better. But for experts who push their skis hard in variable conditions and still care about trenching on groomers, a ski in the 90- to 100-millimeter range is the sweet spot—wide enough to handle off-piste, precise enough to carve hardpack with authority. A metal core makes the Anomaly 94 exceptionally damp, smooth, and predictable, while long, low tip rocker lets it skip over uneven snow and crud. It excels on groomers and holds its own everywhere else. “So much fun for advanced and expert skiers. It crushes big terrain,” noted one veteran tester.
